About Us
Grades 7 and 8 | Monmouth-Roseville CUSD #238
Monmouth-Roseville Junior High School serves approximately 225 seventh- and eighth-grade students, providing a focused and supportive environment where young learners begin to build the academic and personal foundations needed for high school and beyond. The school’s two-year structure allows staff to work closely with students during a critical period of development, encouraging exploration, growth, and increased responsibility.
Students at MRJHS benefit from a range of opportunities designed to foster both academic achievement and personal growth. These include interscholastic sports, student council, clubs, music programs, and community service projects. The junior high years are often students’ first chance to step into leadership roles and try new things, and the school is built to support them in doing just that.
A staff of approximately 30 certified and non-certified professionals form the backbone of the MRJHS experience. Many have served the district for years, creating a strong sense of continuity and shared culture within the school. Their experience working with this age group shows in the relationships they build and the support systems they maintain. The team includes both veteran educators and newer faculty members, creating a healthy mix of mentorship, collaboration, and fresh energy in the building.
The school places a strong emphasis on character development, encouraging students to engage with their community in meaningful ways. Projects such as outreach to local nursing homes and involvement in school-wide initiatives help students grow as responsible citizens, not just academically successful learners.
Principal Aaron Sikorski, leading MRJHS since 2020, brings a deep understanding of the school’s dynamics—having previously served as a teacher in the building. His leadership style is rooted in collaboration, clear expectations, and a belief in the importance of middle school as a time for self-discovery.
“Seventh and eighth grade are where students really start to stretch,” he says. “They try things. They find out what they like. And we’re here to help them do that in a way that’s positive, safe, and supportive.”
Monmouth-Roseville Junior High School is more than a bridge between elementary and high school—it’s a place where students begin to define who they are, who they want to be, and how they fit into the larger community. With a committed staff and a student-centered approach, MRJHS provides a strong foundation for academic success and personal growth.
